Jane Addams Resource Center
The Jane Addams Resource Corporation of Baltimore a/k/a JARC Baltimore is a free workforce training program for Maryland residents ages 18 years or older. JARC provides certification training for the those who are interested in becoming a nationally accredited welder or cnc machinist. In addition to providing assistance with certification training JARC provides wrap around services including but not limited to employment coaching, financial coaching, job placement and transportation.Attending orientation is the first step toward moving forward within the program. Once a candidate attends orientation, they will be invited to come in to test. Should the candidate score at a minimum of a 5th grade level for reading and math, they will be invited to interview. The purpose of the interview is to discuss the candidate's professional and personal goals to ensure our program is suitable. And, once the candidate has been interviewed, they will be invited to onboarding to finalize their enrollment. An official start date will be provided once onboarding has been completed.

We serve the most vulnerable and underserved, including persons with mental illness, HIV/AIDS, addiction, developmental disabilities, and ex-offenders. Men and Women, no children. Free. Will work with sex offenders.

Economic Success/Workforce Development trainings and opportunities. Skill-building classes for couples (door-to-door transportation, dinner and childcare provided) and Responsible Fatherhood workshop. GED Classes and Expungement services. Free.

Day program offers case management, outreach, telephone, showers, washer/dryer, education, support groups, health maintenance groups, recreational activities, snacks. Men and Women welcome. Free.
Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training
Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse and Mental health treatment, Psychiatric Rehabilitation (residential and non residential,) support groups. Walk in and same day services available. Accepts Medicaid.

Assists veterans, active duty service members, their families and dependents, in securing benefits earned through military service. Under the Department of Veterans Affairs are five major programs: the Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Program; Charlotte Hall Veterans Home; the Veterans Service and Benefits Program, Outreach and Advocacy Program, and the Maryland Veterans Trust.
